IU & Byun Woo-seok's 'The King's Affection' Finale

MBC's Friday-Saturday drama '18th Century, My Love' has revealed key points to watch as the romance between IU and Byun Woo-seok reaches its final chapter before the finale. The drama team also released still cuts showing the sweet moments between Sung Hee-joo (played by IU) and Prince Ian (played by Byun Woo-seok).

Attention is focused on the future of Sung Hee-joo and Prince Ian. The two announced their marriage to the public after overcoming numerous accidents and crises. Although it began as a contract marriage, they genuinely fell in love while navigating crises together. However, tension rose when Prince Ian became involved in an accident after deciding to bear the weight of the crown. It remains to be seen if the two can protect each other amidst recurring tragedies and have a happy newlywed life, and what kind of ending their romance will have.

The fates of the political sphere and core royal factions vying for power are also points to watch. Prime Minister Min Jung-woo (played by Noh Sang-hyun) betrayed Prince Ian due to his feelings for Sung Hee-joo. On the other hand, Yoon Yi-rang (played by Gong Seung-yeon), who was manipulated by her power-hungry father, is trying to correct her past mistakes to spare her son Yoon (played by Kim Eun-ho) the same pain. Min Jung-woo and Yoon Yi-rang, who joined forces to protect their positions but are now looking in different directions, are drawing attention to what kind of ending they will face.

The changing relationships of the surrounding characters, sparked by the contract marriage, are also worth noting. Choi Hyun (played by Yoo Soo-bin) and Do Hye-jung (played by Lee Yeon), Sung Hee-joo and Prince Ian's closest confidants, are developing feelings for each other, raising expectations for another couple's birth. Furthermore, Sung Hee-joo's relationship with her family, with whom she argued every time they met, is also being restored. When Sung Hee-joo faced threats, her father Sung Hyun-gook (played by Jo Seung-yeon), older brother Sung Tae-joo (played by Lee Jae-won), and sister-in-law Han Da-young (played by Chae Seo-an) also genuinely worried, raising curiosity about whether they can achieve a happy ending.
