Kim Sung-eun's $3000 Daechi Kids Private Education Costs

Actress Kim Sung-eun has become a hot topic after revealing that she spends over 3 million won per month on private education. She also shared her educational philosophy based on "​selection and concentration" after moving away from Daechi-dong.

Kim Sung-eun recalled that when raising her first child, she sent them to various academies with the goal of making them a "Daechi-dong kid." For math alone, the child attended academies for arithmetic, geometry, critical thinking, and regular curriculum, and also participated in soccer and ice hockey. At the time, she was so dedicated to education that rumors spread in Daechi-dong that "Kim Sung-eun is sitting in every academy," but this educational approach ended when her first child started playing soccer.

Based on her experience raising her first child, she applied a private education method of "selection and concentration" to her second and third children. For her second child, she focused on arts and physical education while also incorporating Korean, English, and math, but later reduced the number of academies. For her third child, she does not provide any special private education other than soccer and art.

Kim Sung-eun explained that she raised her children the same way her own mother sent her to many academies when she was young. However, she added that her thinking has now changed to letting her children do what they want.

Previously, Kim Sung-eun garnered attention through her YouTube channel when she revealed that she spends over 3 million won per month on private education for her second and third children, excluding her first child who is in high school. At the time, her second child was attending over 10 academies, and the total education expenses exceeded 3 million won per month.
