Song Joong Ki Returns to KBS After 10 Years

Actor Song Joong-ki has confirmed his appearance in KBS's new weekend drama 'Love Cloud' and has begun filming. The drama is scheduled to air in the first half of next year on KBS 2TV, following 'Moomoo'.

'Love Cloud' is a romantic comedy about Kang Woo-ju, a former flight instructor, and Ahn Ha-ni, a trainee pilot, who reunite seven years later in Jeju as an air traffic controller and a pilot. Song Joong-ki will be acting alongside Park Ji-hyun, who plays Ahn Ha-ni.

This project is drawing particular attention as it marks Song Joong-ki's return to the KBS romantic comedy genre after approximately 10 years, since the KBS drama 'Descendants of the Sun' in 2016. 'Descendants of the Sun' was widely loved, recording a peak viewership rating of 38.8% at the time.

Consequently, all eyes are on whether Song Joong-ki can set another box office record with 'Love Cloud'.

Meanwhile, it was also reported that Song Joong-ki recently received an offer to appear in a new drama, tentatively titled 'My Youth', and is currently reviewing it. This project is known to be a new work by writer Park Si-hyun, who wrote the JTBC drama 'Run On'.
