The Show Returns After 7 Months With Major Overhaul

The cable music broadcast program 'The Show' will resume broadcasting seven months after its conclusion. The first broadcast is scheduled for the 2nd of next month, and it is known that meetings between the production team and agencies have recently taken place to finalize the cast for the first episode. 'The Show' ended its broadcast in November of last year. At the time, there were rumors of its cancellation, but the only statement made was that "broadcasting would conclude this year." Launched in 2011, 'The Show' is one of the representative cable music broadcast programs that has been running for approximately 14 years.

This resumption of broadcasting will proceed with the program name being maintained while the production and organizational structure are completely revamped. The existing 'The Show' was broadcast through the SBS funE channel and produced by SBS MediaNet. However, production ceased last year when SBS MediaNet withdrew from its entertainment business. The newly launched 'The Show' is scheduled to be organized on the SBS LIFE channel, and production will be jointly handled by SBS LIFE and the entertainment tech startup BIGC. Kim Chil-seong, Head of Performance Business at BIGC, who is a former SBS MediaNet executive, will lead 'The Show'.
