The 'Forest;trimming' project, launched in June 2022, involves creating forests in the name of artists supported by Melon subscribers. During the Melon subscription period, users can select an artist on the project page and accumulate up to 2% of their monthly payment. Once a total of 20 million won is collected for an artist, Melon adds a 5 million won donation, totaling 25 million won, which is then donated to the Korea Federation for Environmental Movement. Subsequently, a forest is established in the artist's name within Seoul.

The 'BTS Forest No. 3' will be created with a total of 125 million won. This amount is a combination of 100 million won in fan contributions accumulated over five rounds until this month, and 25 million won from Melon's donation. A total of 1,612 trees and plants, including wild cherry, spirea, and lilac, are planned to be planted in the forest.

Participation in the 'Forest;trimming' project is available through the 'Forestrimming' menu within the Melon app. Kakao Entertainment plans to foster a culture where music and the environment coexist by supporting more artists in the future.
