The faculty of Sungkyunkwan University's Department of Acting and Arts announced that they had appointed Han Ji-sang as an instructor for a voice class in the first semester of 2026, but have decided not to proceed with the class. This class is a mandatory course for first-year students.

The faculty explained that Han Ji-sang, an alumnus of the Department of Acting and Arts, was recommended and appointed as part of a rushed reappointment process due to the previous instructor being appointed as a full-time professor at another university.

The faculty stated that they reviewed Han Ji-sang's past controversies during the appointment review process, and that it was confirmed by judicial authorities that there was no sexual assault, taking into account the fact that the actor had suffered damages for a long time as a result.
However, student backlash followed, and the faculty explained that communication with students was blocked as the large-format posters posted on campus were removed without sufficient discussion among the professors and department members.
