Park Jihoon's 'Cook' Hits 7% Viewership

The viewership rating for the third episode of tvN's drama 'Legendary Cook' reached 7.2%, setting a new personal best. This is a 1%P increase from the 6.2% rating of the second episode. 'Legendary Cook' is a military cooking fantasy drama based on a popular webtoon, depicting the journey of Private Kang Sung-jae, who trades a rifle for a chef's knife and a cartridge belt for an apron, as he transforms into a legendary cook.

The third episode showed Kang Sung-jae overcoming a potential reassignment crisis by playing a crucial role in resolving an incident involving a North Korean defector. In the previous second episode, he attempted to make tonkatsu to persuade Captain Hwang Seok-ho, the company commander, but failed to gain enough favor before the system timed out. However, in the defection incident, the tonkatsu fried by Kang Sung-jae moved the North Korean resident, leading to their decision to defect. Recognized for this contribution, Kang Sung-jae successfully transitioned from a cooking assistant to an official cook.

As an official cook, Kang Sung-jae honed his knife skills and culinary proficiency under the guidance of Sergeant Yoon Dong-hyun, earning positive reviews and building trust among the unit members. Later, when an inspection by a National Assembly member and the division commander was scheduled, Kang Sung-jae prepared 'Braised Pollack Fillet' instead of a special meal. Recalling his father's past experience, he presented 'Pomodoro Braised Pollack Fillet' using tomato sauce. However, after consecutively using high-end recipes, his stamina depleted, causing him to collapse and heightening the suspense for future developments.
