Meanwhile, IU will appear in MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama 'The Grand Princess of the 21st Century', scheduled to air in the first half of this year. The drama is set in a constitutional monarchy in 21st-century South Korea and depicts the destiny-defying, status-breaking romance between Sung Hee-joo (played by IU), a chaebol heiress who has everything but is frustrated by her commoner status, and Prince Ian (played by Byeon Woo-seok), a prince who can have nothing and is therefore sorrowful.
