T-ara's Soyeon Shares Recent Update from Dubai
Soyeon posted a Bible verse on her social media account: "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." She also added, "He also gave us the strength to overcome," and "If you don't fall into the sea, if you don't climb the mountain, if you don't live according to His word, if you don't live as His child, you cannot experience the grace of both hands," expressing her current feelings.
This post garnered attention because it was the first post by Soyeon, who resides in Dubai, since the outbreak of war, amidst recent clashes between the US, Israel, and Iran, which have targeted US military bases in the Middle East.

Soyeon married soccer player Jo Yumin, who is eight years her junior, in August 2022. In 2024, she moved to Dubai with him after Jo Yumin transferred to Sharjah FC in the UAE league.
Shortly after moving, Soyeon expressed her struggles with Dubai's high temperatures, saying, "I can't even walk for a minute without feeling suffocated. Is this temperature really livable for humans? Yumin trains in this heat. I feel like I'm being roasted on a grill, and they say it's cooler today."
