Webtoon Author Yaongyi Welcomes Second Son

Webtoon artist Yaongyi, creator of "True Beauty," has announced the birth of her second son. Yaongyi shared the happy news of her son's arrival on her social media, stating, "A baby angel has visited our family." The accompanying photos included images from her maternity photoshoot and a picture of her holding her newborn son's tiny hand. The date written on the baby's name tag indicates that the birth took place on the 18th.

Yaongyi expressed her feelings, saying, "In these unfamiliar and overwhelming times, we are learning and feeling each moment as our family of four grows." She also conveyed her gratitude to her fans and supporters, adding her intention to return by saying, "I will return with a great work."

Yaongyi, who previously revealed she was a single mother, remarried Jeon Seon-wook, a webtoon artist known for "FreeDraw," in 2022. With the birth of her second son, she is now a mother to two boys. Fans and fellow artists are sending congratulatory messages.

Meanwhile, Yaongyi faced tax evasion allegations in 2023 regarding the taxation of her webtoon "True Beauty." However, she was recently cleared of suspicion after the Tax Tribunal ruled that the work is tax-exempt.
