Lee Chae-yeon, Burden of Showing Off Luxury Goods

Singer Lee Chae-yeon opened up about the pressure of wearing luxury items. In a video revealing her home for the first time, Lee Chae-yeon stated, "Actually, this isn't my house. I'm renting, so the owner is someone else." She laughed as she mentioned that she had put wallpaper stickers on the walls, but they became uneven, leading to teasing from her friends.

In her room, there were expensive luxury watches and bracelets. Lee Chae-yeon explained, "I don't really like to show off, but I have some meaningful luxury items." She said her parents gifted her a watch as her first luxury item for her birthday, and she also got matching couple bracelets with her mother. However, she added that the bracelets are difficult to take off, and wearing them during schedules feels like showing off, making her feel sorry towards her mother.

The watch Lee Chae-yeon revealed was priced between 8 million and 10 million won, but has now increased to 12 million won, and the bracelet costs over 10 million won.

Regarding her numerous luxury bags, she said, "I can't wear luxury bags these days. I wear them so the logo isn't visible." When the production team asked if she felt embarrassed, as if she were showing off, she nodded and shared that she has never bought a luxury bag herself and tends to bring ones her younger sibling or mother used to use from her parents' home.
