Actress Hwang Bora's 0.01% Pregnancy Chance After Early Menopause

Actress Hwang Bo-ra has revealed that she experienced severe side effects during the process of in-vitro fertilization (IVF) for her second pregnancy. In a video released on her YouTube channel, 'Hwang Bo-ra Boraiety,' Hwang Bo-ra stated that she is undergoing IVF treatments for her second pregnancy but is in a depressed state because follicles have not been forming for two months.

Hwang Bo-ra confessed that due to the side effects of the IVF injections, her face and entire body swelled, and her lymph nodes became significantly enlarged. Although she stopped the growth hormone injections on her doctor's recommendation, the symptoms did not subside easily, and she revealed that her right cornea was torn, leaving her in a terrible state, which evoked sympathy. She also shared her painful situation by revealing bruises on her abdomen from the injections.

Hwang Bo-ra revealed that she received a shocking diagnosis of a 0.01% chance of pregnancy based on her infertility test results. She added that her test results came back at 0.15, and she was greatly shocked by the levels, which suggested premature menopause. Since then, she has continued treatment for over a year and has undergone IVF a total of four times, all of which were unsuccessful.

Regarding her desire for a second child, Hwang Bo-ra expressed her wish that her first son, U-in, would have a sibling because she feels he might be lonely. While she spoke about the difficulties, including the enormous costs, pain, and stress associated with the IVF process, she also revealed her determination to continue the challenge, stating, "​I will not give up on what I've started."

Meanwhile, Hwang Bo-ra married Cha Hyun-woo, the son of actor Kim Yong-gun and younger brother of actor Ha Jung-woo, in 2022, and they have a son.
