Director Jang Hang-jun, who has become a director of a film with 10 million viewers, revealed a past casting anecdote with actor Sol Kyung-gu. Director Jang stated that he wanted to make a movie about the story of the South Korean national football team that participated in the 1954 Swiss World Cup, particularly about the goalkeeper Hong Deok-young.
Sol Kyung-gu, who was very popular at the time, showed interest in this story and contacted Director Jang directly, expressing his strong desire by saying, "Has the World Cup goalkeeper story been made into a script? I want to do that."

Director Jang quickly completed the script and delivered it to Sol Kyung-gu, but after reading it, Sol Kyung-gu honestly refused, saying, "I'm sorry. What can I do if it's not fun? I don't want to do it." Director Jang recalled laughing at Sol Kyung-gu's frank reaction at the time.
Meanwhile, the film 'The King and the Clown,' directed by Jang Hang-jun, has recently surpassed 11.5 million cumulative viewers, continuing its box office success. This marks the 34th film to surpass 10 million viewers in domestic release history and the fourth record for a historical drama genre film.
