Kim Ji-min Reveals IVF Side Effects

Comedian Kim Ji-min honestly shared the physical changes and hardships she experienced while undergoing IVF treatment for her second child. Kim Ji-min posted on her Instagram, "To all the expectant mothers undergoing IVF treatment, are you wondering why only I'm experiencing this? Is it a side effect?" along with before-and-after photos showing a 3.5kg weight gain in just a few days during the IVF injections, followed by a 4kg loss after the procedure ended.

Kim Ji-min revealed that she experienced surprisingly significant physical changes due to the IVF treatment. While she didn't experience facial swelling or breakouts, she confessed that her legs would swell so severely at the end of the day or after finishing her schedule that the line between her socks and skin was alarming.

Amidst these difficulties, her husband Kim Joon-ho's affectionate care provided great strength. Kim Ji-min expressed her affection for Kim Joon-ho, saying, "My husband massaged me every day until my legs felt loose, so even if the swelling didn't completely subside, my heart felt at ease."

Furthermore, Kim Ji-min stated that rather than personality changes due to the treatment, her hobbies changed. She mentioned that she started cooking again, something she used to do when she lived alone, and sent a message of encouragement to other expectant mothers preparing for IVF treatment, saying, "​Let's all share our experiences."

Kim Ji-min and Kim Joon-ho recently announced that they are undergoing IVF treatment for their second child plans. Kim Ji-min explained that she tried to conceive naturally, but after consultation, she was advised that IVF treatment, which involves collecting healthy cells, is better for older mothers, leading to her decision.
