The Boyz 9-Member Contract Termination Controversy
Nine members of the group The Boyz (excluding New) have sent a certified letter to their agency, One Hundred, demanding the termination of their exclusive contracts. The members cited issues such as unpaid settlement fees, but One Hundred has stated their inability to accept these demands.
The nine members of The Boyz announced that they notified the agency of their exclusive contract termination on February 10th, citing the agency's material breach of contract and damage to the trust relationship through the law firm Yulchon. Specific reasons included unpaid settlement fees starting from July 2025, refusal to allow access to settlement data, and unpaid staff expenses.

One Hundred countered by stating that they paid a large signing bonus based on the premise of full group activities with all eleven members, but normal team activities became difficult due to member controversies and departures. They also claimed that vehicle and practice room support were provided normally, and allegations of misappropriating dormitory deposit funds were false.

Despite the dispute, the nine members of The Boyz plan to fulfill already confirmed schedules, including the concert planned for April, to keep their promises to fans. Member New has decided to remain with the current agency.
The Boyz debuted in 2017 and transferred from IST Entertainment to One Hundred in December 2024. Of the eleven members at the time, Ju Haknyeon left due to a personal controversy, and the group is currently active as a ten-member group.
