**King of the Land** Box Office Revenue in North America Reaches 2.6 Billion

The film "The Moon of Seoul" (hereafter "The Moon of Seoul") has surpassed the record of "The Roundup: Punishment" in North America within two weeks of its release, grossing $1.79 million (approximately 2.64884 billion won) in theater revenue. This figure even exceeds the North American box office performance of "12.12: The Day" and "Extreme Job."

Buoyed by this box office success, the North American screening scale for "The Moon of Seoul" is also expanding. This week, it is being shown in 125 theaters, with a cumulative total of approximately 150 theaters, an unprecedented scale for a Korean film. JBG Pictures USA, the North American distributor, stated, "Based on the box office momentum, we are expanding screening regions every week and doing our best to secure more theaters so that more audiences can watch the movie, focusing on areas with Korean residents in North America."

Park Myung-soo recently shared his candid thoughts on "The Moon of Seoul," saying, "We didn't worry about the CG and just released it, but the other movies that came out at the same time weren't great, so it really took off." Regarding the audience's strong emotional response, he added, "It is sad, but it wasn't to the point of crying that much." He attributed the film's success to the popularity of historical dramas during holidays and its message of rewarding good and punishing evil.

Park Myung-soo praised director Jang Hang-jun, stating, "He's such a good person. Because he's good, he's given an opportunity. He deserves to be rewarded." He emphasized that the success of "The Moon of Seoul" was not simply due to good luck but rather to the director's perseverance and his good character.
