Lee Dong-hwi, tears for the late Na Chul

Actor Lee Dong-hwi appeared on the tvN entertainment show "You Quiz on the Block" and became emotional, recalling his close friend, the late actor Na Chul.

Lee Dong-hwi said, "If I've lived my life doing everything I wanted until now, I want to live for my family from now on." He mentioned that when his mother was in poor health, he wanted to appear on more broadcasts to make her happy. As an only son, he shared that he regretted "​why didn't I do this sooner?" after starting a family group chat last year, which led to more active communication.

He continued, shedding tears, "Because some friends have already gone to heaven, I thought after sending them off that I didn't want to live like this anymore." Lee Dong-hwi was unable to continue speaking as he thought of his close friend, the late Na Chul, and said, "After sending my friends off, I made a promise. The day I returned home after the funeral, I resolved to try and prevent more people like that from happening." Na Chul passed away suddenly in 2023 at the age of 37 due to a rapid decline in his health.

Actor Byun Yo-han also recently appeared on a YouTube channel and paid tribute to the deceased, saying, "I chose the movie 'Pavanne' because of Na Chul's son. I wanted to show the message 'You are not so different' when I, his closest friend and uncle, took on this role."

Previously, actress Kim Go-eun also mourned Na Chul, stating, "I'm sorry I couldn't be with you until the end. Thank you for creating such precious memories."
