Son Tae Young, Kwon Sang Woo's son debut rumors addressed

Actress Son Tae-young and her husband Kwon Sang-woo have shared their honest thoughts on the reactions following the reveal of their son Rook-hee's face. Recently, Son Tae-young uploaded a video to her YouTube channel, "Mrs. New Jersey Son Tae-young," titled "Son Tae-young ♥︎ Kwon Sang-woo Couple's First Confession on Their Feelings About Revealing Son Rook-hee's Face." In the video, Son Tae-young recounted the aftermath of a photo of her son Rook-hee and Kwon Sang-woo being released, stating, "People said he looks a lot like oppa," and "Kwon Sang-woo gave birth to Kwon Sang-woo," along with many compliments.

In the photo, Rook-hee's appearance, which closely resembled Kwon Sang-woo, drew attention. Due to his height exceeding 180cm, interest in whether he would debut in the entertainment industry also surged. Regarding this, Son Tae-young stated, "​He's turned 17, an age where he can do what he wants," and dismissed speculation that she revealed the photos to make Rook-hee an entertainer after his soccer-related Instagram post and photos of his father were reported. Son Tae-young said, "​It's not like he's someone who would become an entertainer just because we say 'Please let him be (an entertainer),' he doesn't have the talent and he doesn't want to."

Kwon Sang-woo also added, "He has no interest in celebrities and doesn't know anything about it," and Son Tae-young emphasized, "​He himself doesn't want to." The couple stated, "​We just hope Rook-hee pursues his own path," explaining that while their son loves soccer and has a lot of passion for it, he's not aiming to be a professional player and is enjoying it as a hobby. Son Tae-young added that he's going through puberty well through soccer and has experienced a sense of accomplishment, which is why he's more engrossed and puts in the effort.

Kwon Sang-woo mentioned that Rook-hee's proactiveness extends to all aspects of his life, such as seeking out soccer camps or contacting coaches, and that this positively impacts his studies. Son Tae-young emphasized, "​We just find that endearing and supportive," and added, "​Ri-ho is also just growing up healthy and doing what she wants, and we're just guiding her a little." Kwon Sang-woo stated, "​The most important thing is that he grows up healthy and doesn't get hurt."

Son Tae-young said, "Whether Rook-hee posts photos or not in the future, I hope he uses Instagram like any other peer, communicates with friends, and does his work well." She added, "​The reporters wrote headlines like 'Idol-level visuals,' which is why people see him that way, but he just resembles this person (Kwon Sang-woo)." Kwon Sang-woo quipped, "​His head is a bit smaller than mine, and his limbs are a bit longer, that's about it," but then added, "​But I'm better looking," to which Son Tae-young responded, "​Why, I'm mixed in too," eliciting laughter.
