SHINee Full Group Returns After 5 Months

Group SHINee member Key will officially resume activities through a full group concert for the first time in about five months. SHINee will hold their eighth solo concert, '- The Trilogy I - 2026 SHINee WORLD VIII : [THE INVERT]', from May 29th to 31st at the KSPO DOME in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul. This concert marks the first solo performance by the four SHINee members in about a year, and in line with the title '​INVERT', which means 'to flip' or 'to convert', they plan to showcase SHINee's musical world with unique directing and a new perspective.

This concert is particularly drawing attention as it will be Key's first official public appearance in about five months since suspending his activities. In December of last year, Key suspended his activities after being implicated in allegations of receiving procedures and prescriptions from an individual without a medical license, in relation to the controversy surrounding broadcaster Park Na-rae's 'Aunt Joo-sa'. At the time, his agency SM Entertainment explained that Key believed the individual was a doctor and did not realize it would be problematic to receive treatment at home. Key also directly apologized through a statement, reflecting on his ignorance and ceasing all activities to reflect.

Following the controversy, Key withdrew from all scheduled broadcast activities and regular programs, and had been inactive, disappearing from other media such as YouTube. He will now be standing before the public for the first time since the controversy through this SHINee full group concert. As this marks his return after about five months, anticipation and interest are growing regarding how Key will appear before his fans.

Meanwhile, general ticket sales for the concert '- The Trilogy I - 2026 SHINee WORLD VIII : [THE INVERT]' are scheduled to open today (1st) at 8 PM through Melon Ticket. In the promotional photos released along with the news of SHINee's full group concert, the members are seen posing in cheerleading outfits in front of a banner that reads '(Co., Ltd.) SHINee Activation Workshop and Performance Report Meeting', drawing attention. Notably, Key's appearance, with a somewhat gaunt face and an awkward smile, was also captured.
