Lee Hwi-jae, Absent from Immortal Songs Dinner

Comedian Lee Hwi-jae will resume broadcasting activities on KBS 2TV's "Immortal Songs" after a four-year hiatus. He participated as a contestant in the recording for the "2026 Entertainment Industry King of Kings" special, where he passionately sang Choi Ho-seop's "Mask of Time." He was seen becoming emotional during rehearsals.

After the recording, Lee Hwi-jae did not attend the wrap-up dinner and returned home. He entered the recording studio via a different route to avoid reporters. He had suspended his broadcasting activities and resided in Canada since 2021 due to controversies surrounding his wife's noise complaints and a toy purchase dispute, and in 2022, due to past remarks.
