Kim Mi-hwa, Tearful Over Son with Developmental Disability

On MBN's "Special Report," comedian Kim Mi-hwa and her husband, Yoon Seung-ho, revealed their efforts to help their son, Yoon Jin-hee, who has a developmental disability, become independent. Their son, in his 40s, works as a drummer in an orchestra for musicians with developmental disabilities. To ensure their son can live alone after they pass away, Kim Mi-hwa and her husband have prepared a separate residence next door and are training him to live independently by teaching him about death and maintaining a certain distance.

Kim Mi-hwa said, "This house is for our eldest son. We are training him so he can live alone even after we die." Her husband, Yoon Seung-ho, expressed deep concern for their son, saying, "Will our son be able to live well in this world without us? We are just watching how he manages even when he makes mistakes. I worry about him in society."

Kim Mi-hwa teared up, saying, "I feel more sorry for my husband than for my son. My husband wishes our son would die three days before us. Who wants to send their child off before them?" Her husband, Yoon Seung-ho, also shared his wish, "I hope our son passes away just three days before me," expressing the parental responsibility and fear of leaving their child alone.

Kim Mi-hwa, who was once widely loved as part of the duo 'Three-Rangers Couple,' is currently living a leisurely life in the countryside with her husband. On their 20th wedding anniversary, she confessed her many apologies to her husband and revealed her deep 고민 (consideration/worry) and sadness regarding their son's 'independence training' for his developmental disability.
