Dr. Shin's Brain Swap: Part 2

TV CHOSUN's new weekend mini-series 'Doctor Shin' has revealed the direction of its medical thriller through a second teaser video, highlighting entangled relationships and choices that cross boundaries. The drama tells a story centered around a genius doctor challenging the realm of gods and a woman whose brain is damaged overnight, losing her soul. The production team has set this process as a medical thriller that navigates love, desire, taboos, and sacrifice.

The second teaser video focuses on dialogue that reveals the characters' desires and fears. The line, "Can you give Momo an injection that stops her breathing?" is heard, questioning the permissible limits of actions that venture into the domain of gods. Following this, when Shin Jusin (played by Jung Yi-chan) awkwardly laughs and says, "​I'm embarrassed. I'm trying something I don't usually do," Momo (played by Baek Se-ra) firmly replies, "​Don't do it," emphasizing their differing reactions.

The character relationships expand with the appearance of Ha Yong-jung (played by Ahn Woo-yeon), a developer for Lost Knights, a figure in the game industry. Geum Bara (played by Joo Se-bin) is surprised to receive a text message saying, "​This is Ha Yong-jung. Are you perhaps Geum Bara from Minjin Elementary School, 4th grade, 16 years ago?" This hints at a connection linking the past and the present. In a flashback scene, a high school Geum Bara with a facial scar is shown saying, "​Just hit me ten times in front of me. I'm not really... attached to living." In the present timeline, Ha Yong-jung apologizes, saying, "​I thought you grew up like a princess. I was mistaken," followed by a scene where Geum Bara smiles, revealing the shared emotions of their past and present.

The contrast between Shin Jusin and Momo, and Ha Yong-jung and Momo, is also striking. Shin Jusin embraces Momo, who is wearing a hat, in front of numerous reporters, showing a protective attitude. In contrast, Ha Yong-jung is seen holding Momo's hand and running with her in a snowy field. The scenes of men approaching the same woman, but in different ways and environments, are juxtaposed.

In the final part of the teaser, a voice filled with sobs is heard saying, "I like that Momo became like this. Just do it. Leave the results to heaven," revealing an attitude of pushing oneself forward in the face of decisions that cross boundaries. The production team stated that attention will be paid to how the 'brain swap' setting, intertwined with emotions, desires, and sacrifice, will unfold.
