BLACKPINK Jisoo's Monthly Boyfriend Heartthrob

Blackpink member Jisoo will star in the new Netflix original series "Monthly Boyfriend." "Monthly Boyfriend" is a romantic comedy based on a virtual reality-based love subscription service. Jisoo will play 'Mirae,' a webtoon PD, in a story about finding the true meaning of love by experiencing various ideal boyfriends through a virtual dating program.

Seo In-guk will appear as 'Kyungnam,' Mirae's colleague, with whom she shares a peculiar tension. Actors such as Seo Kang-joon, Lee Soo-hyuk, and Lee Jae-wook will appear as 'subscription boyfriends.' The series is highly anticipated as it marks Jisoo's full-fledged challenge in the romantic comedy genre.

"Monthly Boyfriend" will be produced in a total of 10 episodes and is scheduled to be released worldwide simultaneously on Netflix on March 6.

Actor and singer Seo In-guk revealed his excitement for the Netflix series "Monthly Boyfriend" through the cover and interview of the March issue of "Singles" Japan. Seo In-guk stated, "I was first drawn to the world-building," and revealed that the multi-layered emotional lines unfolding on the premise of a virtual dating simulation are a key point to watch.

He described the character 'Kyungnam,' whom he plays, as "a multifaceted character who appears cold but is perfect at his job, while also possessing a clumsy charm," adding that he himself is "not as serious as Kyungnam." He also praised his co-star Jisoo, calling her "the mood-maker on set and an actress who perfectly embodies her character," and shared that the actor and character felt like one throughout the filming.
