Actress Eom Chun-mi revealed she is a direct descendant of Eom Heung-do while appearing in the movie 'The Man Who Lived with the King.' She expressed her feelings about appearing in this film as "an infinite honor."
Eom Chun-mi, who belongs to the theater troupe 'Cheongnyeon Theater' in Cheongju, Chungbuk, plays the role of a resident of Gwangcheon-gol village in the movie. She said, "As the 30th generation descendant of the Chungui-gong branch of the Eom clan of Yeongwol, I knew there was someone named Eom Heung-do among my ancestors," and that she and her family were surprised by the news of the movie's production.

After looking up the family genealogy, Eom Chun-mi learned she was a direct descendant of Eom Heung-do. She recalled a story her father told her as a child: "There was an ancestor who collected the body of King Danjong." She added, "I am so happy that my ancestor's story will be widely known through this movie."
