BTS Comeback Show: The Meaning of Red
HYBE, the agency of the group BTS, has released a statement regarding the political interpretations of the red color used in their comeback show production. HYBE explained, "The red color for the Gwanghwamun Square performance was applied as the key color for the 'Arirang' album," adding that the Seoul Metropolitan Government is also utilizing the color red at HYBE's request.
HYBE emphasized, "We kindly request that large-scale cultural events not be excessively interpreted from a political perspective."

BTS will release their fifth full-length album, 'Arirang,' on the 20th and hold a comeback commemorative live performance at Gwanghwamun Square on the 21st. The performance will feature a 'King's Road' procession, extending from Gyeongbokgung Palace to Gwanghwamun Square.
Additionally, 15 major landmarks in Seoul will be illuminated in red on the day before and the day of the performance. Some have suggested a connection to local elections, claiming the red color symbolizes a particular political party.
