Tae Jin-ah Announces Lawsuit Against Jeon Han-gil Concert

Singer Tae Jin-ah has denied rumors of his appearance at the "March 1st Independence Music Festival" hosted by YouTuber Jeon Han-gil (real name Jeon Yu-gwan), stating, "It is not true," and has announced legal action. Tae Jin-ah's side claims that an event organizer deceived them during the initial booking process, calling the event a "​general event held at KINTEX," and inquired about his schedule, subsequently using his portrait rights without permission.

Tae Jin-ah's agency, Jin Ah Entertainment, released a statement saying, "A few days ago, an event organizer visited and asked about the possibility of appearing at a KINTEX event on March 2nd. We responded that the 'schedule was possible,' but when asked if it was a political event, they replied it was a 'general event.'" The agency emphasized, "Tae Jin-ah has absolutely no intention of appearing at political events," and announced they would sue and report the event organizer for defamation for inquiring about his schedule under the pretense of it being a general event.

Jeon Han-gil is promoting the "March 1st Independence Music Festival" to be held at KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province, on the 2nd of next month through his YouTube channel. The venue has a capacity of 10,000 seats, but only about 500 seats have been booked so far, indicating low participation. While the event poster featured the faces of several singers, including Tae Jin-ah, his name has since been removed from the poster on the ticketing website.

Tae Jin-ah's side stated, "We have never accepted any political invitations or appeared at political events," and expressed regret over attempts to draw him into a political event through deception. They also added that they are preparing legal action against Jeon Han-gil's YouTube channel for unauthorized use of Tae Jin-ah's photo on their broadcast without verifying the facts.
