Hidden Singer 8: Jun Hyun-moo Pursues Lim Young-woong

JTBC's entertainment program 'Hidden Singer 8' is set to premiere on the 31st, and MC Jun Hyun-moo and Song Eun-yi have expressed their anticipation for the show. 'Hidden Singer 8' is a music program where South Korea's representative singers compete against vocal impersonators who perfectly mimic their voices.

Jun Hyun-moo stated, "'Hidden Singer' is the only program that has been loved for a long time amidst so much content, and people feel sad when it ends." He added that while there is a mix of anticipation and concern as the show returns after four years, "incredible things are happening" in the four episodes already filmed. Song Eun-yi also mentioned that she has been waiting for four years and that the skills of the impersonators this season were so outstanding that her pre-filming worries were unfounded. She also expressed her determination to "capture even the details that might be missed" during the deduction process with the celebrity panel each episode.

The two have become indispensable to each other through their long collaboration on the 'Hidden Singer' series. Jun Hyun-moo expressed his immense trust in Song Eun-yi, calling her "like an MC for a family entertainment show." Song Eun-yi acknowledged that Jun Hyun-moo's "unique wit and stable hosting" enhance the program's overall quality.

This season features a stellar lineup of original singers, including Shim Soo-bong, Kim Jang-hoon, Kim Hyun-jung, Jung-in, Lee Seung-gi, Yoonha, Davichi's Lee Haeri, Ha Hyun-woo, and 10CM. Jun Hyun-moo picked Shim Soo-bong, the singer for the first episode, as the one he is most looking forward to. He expressed curiosity about how Shim Soo-bong, who rarely appears on broadcasts and has no experience meeting impersonators, would react when she encounters five vocal mimics. Song Eun-yi said she is looking forward to the episodes featuring Kim Jang-hoon, known for his hit songs and cheerful personality, and 10CM, with his distinctive voice.

Notably, Jun Hyun-moo surprised everyone by mentioning singer Lim Young-woong, saying, "​I am earnestly trying to recruit someone, but it hasn't happened yet. I'm continuing to persuade them." He vowed, "I will definitely bring them to 'Hidden Singer' through sincerity."
