Seo Dong-ju Reveals Heartbreaking Miscarriage News

Broadcaster Seo Dong-ju tearfully confessed her pain over a missed miscarriage. In a video released on her YouTube channel, Seo Dong-ju said with difficulty, "After the missed miscarriage, I had a D&C surgery and had to say goodbye to Chilbok-i (the baby's nickname)."

She had been trying to conceive through in vitro fertilization (IVF) and revealed, "I did everything I could, including daily injections, medication, and suppositories, because I wanted to protect the baby no matter what." Despite her efforts, such as walking, managing her diet, and taking supplements, she shared, "It seems it just wasn't the right time yet."

Seo Dong-ju had initially felt hopeful as her blood test results slowly improved and she could see the gestational sac and yolk sac, but she shared that the hospital confirmed the growth of the gestational sac had stopped.

She expressed her honest feelings, stating, "Even amidst a grief that is difficult to fathom, I felt a sense of relief that the long wait was over," and admitted that her feelings sometimes made her feel selfish, which was hurtful. She spoke of the disappointment and pain of life not allowing her to have what she wants when she wants it.

Furthermore, she mentioned the comfort she received through this experience, saying, "The support and prayers from so many people deeply touched my heart." She expressed her gratitude and surprise that strangers, whose names and faces she didn't know, could understand and embrace each other.
