Ji So-yeon apologizes for Japan trip on Samiljeol
Actress Ji So-yeon apologized after a controversy arose from her posting a Japan travel video shortly before the March 1st Independence Movement Day.
Ji So-yeon apologized via her social media, stating, "It was my oversight not to have deeply considered the meaning of the posting time." The video documented a trip taken on February 11th, but its upload just before March 1st caused discomfort and disappointment, for which she admitted, "It is entirely my responsibility."

Furthermore, regarding the criticism directed at her travel companion, Yang Mi-ra, Ji So-yeon apologized to Yang Mi-ra as well, saying, "The decision regarding the upload schedule and its release was entirely mine, and Mi-ra unnie, who accompanied me, knew nothing about any part of this."
Through this incident, Ji So-yeon stated she has "deeply realized the need to act more cautiously and responsibly," and pledged that in the future, "I will more meticulously consider the social context and timing in all processes of planning and releasing content." The controversial video has since been made private.
