Furthermore, Jeong Taewoo highly praised actor Park Jihoon for his excellent interpretation of King Danjong, saying, "I think actor Park Jihoon has wonderfully interpreted King Danjong with his unique sensibility and energy." He assessed that Park Jihoon portrayed King Danjong not just as a pitiable king, but as a figure who tried to maintain his dignity, well-expressed through the perspective of the younger generation.

Jeong Taewoo stated that it is meaningful in itself that the character of King Danjong continues to live and breathe across generations, and as a senior actor, he sent his support to Park Jihoon. 'The King and the Man' is a story set in 1457 in Cheongnyongpo, about a young former king exiled there and a village chief who voluntarily took on the role of exile to revitalize the village.
