Shin Se Kyung Returns to Rom-Com After 6 Years

Actress Shin Se-kyung is returning to the small screen in a romantic comedy drama after approximately six years. Shin Se-kyung has confirmed her appearance as the female lead in the new drama '​Love Virus'.

Shin Se-kyung previously gained popularity with the sitcom 'High Kick Through the Roof' and has since been recognized for her acting skills in various works such as 'Deep Rooted Tree', 'Six Flying Dragons', 'Bride of the Water God', and 'Arthdal Chronicles'. This marks her return to a romance genre approximately six years after JTBC's 'Run On', which ended in 2021, and her drama appearance overall is about two years after tvN's 'Captivating the King'.

Recently, Shin Se-kyung successfully completed her return to the big screen after about 12 years with a powerful acting transformation in the movie 'Humint', released in February. Expectations are high for her performance in this romantic comedy.

The drama 'Love Virus' will be directed by Kim Suk-yoon, who has been recognized for his delicate directing skills through works like 'Old Miss Diary', 'The Light in Your Eyes', and 'My Liberation Notes'.
