Man Living With The King Surpasses 9.77 Million Viewers

The film 'The Man Who Lives with the King' is approaching the 10 million viewer mark, having surpassed 9.77 million viewers. According to the Korean Film Council's integrated network for movie ticket sales, 'The Man Who Lives with the King' maintained its top spot at the box office yesterday, drawing 180,546 viewers. The cumulative number of viewers has reached 9,777,998.

'The Man Who Lives with the King' is a film depicting the story of village chief Eom Heung-do (Yoo Hae-jin), who voluntarily exiled himself to revitalize the village of Cheongnyeongpo in 1457, and the young former king Danjong (Park Ji-hoon), who was banished from the throne. The film stars actors Yoo Hae-jin, Park Ji-hoon, Yoo Ji-tae, and Jeon Mi-do, and is directed by Jang Hang-jun.

Having surpassed 9 million viewers in just 27 days since its release, 'The Man Who Lives with the King' is on track to reach 10 million viewers faster than previous historical films that achieved this milestone, such as 'King and the Clown' (50 days) and 'Masquerade' (31 days). If the current trend continues, it is expected to surpass 10 million viewers this weekend or by the morning of the 7th.

The second spot at the box office was taken by the animation 'Hoppers,' which attracted 11,795 viewers, bringing its cumulative total to 81,361. 'Hoppers' is a story about a girl named Mabel, who becomes a robot beaver, and her adventures in a mysterious animal world.

In third place was 'Humint' (7,105 viewers), followed by 'Mad Dance Office' (3,839 viewers) in fourth, and 'Bride!' (3,357 viewers) in fifth.
