Gimpo Chinese Restaurant: 3-Hour Wait for Jjamppong

A Chinese restaurant in Gimpo was featured on "Master of Life." The restaurant is famous for its scallop jjampong and barley rice-aged tangsuyuk, and is so popular that people have to line up from 8 AM.

The scallop jjampong is generously filled with various seafood such as Tongyeong scallops and whole shrimp, and is characterized by its rich yet refreshing broth. The cast members praised it, saying, "It's the best jjampong broth I've ever tasted."

The tangsuyuk boasts large chunks of meat, resembling tonkatsu in appearance, and offers a tender and savory flavor due to a unique meat-aging method using barley rice. The jajangmyeon contains the amount of meat equivalent to five servings at a typical Chinese restaurant.

The restaurant owner is Chef Park Jong-min, a graduate of one of the world's top three culinary schools. Although he majored in French cuisine, he was drawn to Chinese food and succeeded by researching it independently and developing his own unique style.
