Min Hee-jin denies contact with Japanese investors

Former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin strongly denied reports that she contacted Japanese investors for NewJeans' independence, calling it a "novel-like story."

On her social media, Min criticized the report as "the talent of exaggerating something trivial to make it seem significant," urging attention to "matters under criminal investigation instead of ordinary civil cases." She added, "Remember that you have the right to reply when reporting and stop spreading false information."

Previously, one media outlet reported that Min met with a wealthy Japanese individual in 2024 to discuss investment plans and linked this to NewJeans' independence movement.

Meanwhile, Min won her legal battle against HYBE regarding the exercise of put options and will receive approximately 25.5 billion won from HYBE. The court dismissed HYBE's lawsuit for breach of the shareholders' agreement and ruled in favor of Min's put option lawsuit.

Min expressed her displeasure, stating, "It seems like a reverse viral marketing campaign started last week, right after my complete victory," and announced that she would pursue legal action for the false report.
