Seo Yoon, the director who has been styling singer IU's hair for 12 years, revealed the hair styling methods for the character Jang Man-wol in the tvN drama 'Hotel Del Luna'. The video garnered significant attention, recording 800,000 views in just two days of its release. Director Seo explained that Jang Man-wol's hairstyles varied significantly, changing four to six times per episode to match her outfits, and that all possible styles achievable by hand, including long wavy hair, ponytails, half-up styles, and braids, were attempted.

Jang Man-wol's hair color was chosen to be a 'natural brown' level so that the texture would be visible in bright light. She also shared a tip for achieving the frequently seen half-up hairstyle. Director Seo stated, "The key is to wear a hairpin positioned above the eyes," explaining that this helps make the face appear smaller and adds volume to the sides of the hair.

Additionally, for the flyaway hair styling tip that many are curious about, she introduced a method of fixing the roots in their natural direction with a small hair roller, then curling it once with a curling iron, applying heat, and finally loosening it with a comb and setting it with spray. She added that all of Jang Man-wol's hairstyles in the drama were created using a hairdryer and a curling iron.
