T-ara's Soyeon & Cho Yu Min Injury News

Soyeon, formerly of T-ara, expressed her feelings with a Bible verse following the news that her husband, soccer player Cho Yu-min, would miss the World Cup. On June 1, Soyeon posted a photo of a bright sun rising on her social media, along with the verse Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

National soccer team defender Cho Yu-min was sidelined due to an injury sustained during training for the 2026 North, Central America, and Caribbean World Cup preliminary camp. He suffered an ankle injury on his right foot during a friendly match against Trinidad and Tobago. Medical examinations revealed a rupture of the plantar fascia in his right sole, resulting in an 8-week recovery period. Consequently, his World Cup participation was canceled, and Jeonbuk's Cho Wi-je was selected as his replacement.

Upon hearing the news of Cho Yu-min's injury, his wife Soyeon's decision to post a Bible verse on her personal social media, seemingly reflecting her emotions, drew attention. Soyeon has previously shown her devotion as a loving celebrity couple, even engraving her English name on her husband's soccer cleats and exclaiming, "We're playing together, Soyeon!"

Soyeon married Cho Yu-min, a national soccer player nine years her junior, in September 2022. They are currently living in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), where Cho Yu-min's team, Sharjah FC, is based. Cho Yu-min transferred to Sharjah FC last year with a transfer fee of approximately 1.5 billion won and an annual salary of around 2 billion won, while Soyeon is dedicated to supporting him.

Meanwhile, Soyeon recently shared the news of her husband Cho Yu-min's discharge from the hospital. On the 13th, Soyeon posted a message on social media saying, "First, go home," along with a photo of Cho Yu-min returning home. Previously, Soyeon had posted a photo of herself heading to the hospital with the caption, "2 nights 3 days hotel-vacation (hospital-vacation) 3 days nursing Cho Yu-min, let's go," indicating she was at the hospital to care for her husband after his injury.
