K-pop Star G.NA's Comeback, Kim Ho-joong's Release Anticipated

Singer G.NA has announced her comeback after 10 years, while Kim Ho-joong, currently serving time for drunk driving and hit-and-run charges, will be released on parole five months before his sentence ends. Both will be returning to the public eye around the same time.

On the 23rd, G.NA revealed on her social media that she is working on a remake of her hit song "Black & White." This song was chosen as the first remake by fan vote. G.NA expressed her gratitude to her fans and shared her excitement and overwhelming emotions about her comeback. After debuting in 2010 and gaining popularity with songs like "Black & White" and "Top Girl," she halted her activities and moved to Canada in 2016 after receiving a fine for soliciting prostitution. Recently, she has been sharing updates on her music work on social media, consistently hinting at a potential return.

Kim Ho-joong has passed the Ministry of Justice's parole review and will be released on the 30th. His original release date was in November, but it has been moved up by approximately five months. Kim Ho-joong was put on trial last May for charges of drunk driving, causing an accident in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and then fleeing the scene. He faced significant criticism when evidence emerged that he had instructed his manager to falsely confess to the accident. He initially denied driving under the influence but later admitted it, and his sentence of two years and six months in prison was finalized.

The nature and severity of the two individuals' cases differ. G.NA took a nearly 10-year hiatus after receiving a fine, whereas Kim Ho-joong is returning to society through parole while serving a prison sentence.

G.NA's comeback news has been met with supportive messages like, "It's good to be able to hear your songs again." Kim Ho-joong has also maintained a strong fandom through music streaming and fan cafe activities even during his incarceration.
