Korean Trot Star Im Young Woong's 'Mountain Boy' Debuts at 4.7%

SBS's new variety show, 'Mountain Village Bachelor Hero,' has made a smooth debut, recording a viewership rating of 4.7%. The program is a healing variety show that depicts a 'unplanned, pollution-free life' where participants temporarily set aside civilization and enjoy themselves according to their instincts in nature.

In the first episode, singer Lim Young-woong arrived first at the mountain village house with his dog, Siwol, and invited his friends after marveling at the surrounding environment. Later, comedian Huh Kyung-hwan, actor Hyun Bong-sik, and singer Jo Jjaj attended, spending time preparing a meal together and building a 'Jjaj Bar.'

Notably, Lim Young-woong drew attention by showcasing his woodworking skills. He revealed his past experience working part-time at a furniture factory, demonstrating his proficient craftsmanship. Hyun Bong-sik contributed to the work with his excellent sawing skills, despite having a sunlight allergy.

At the end of the broadcast, a preview of Lim Young-woong singing at the completed 'Jjaj Bar' and sharing his inner thoughts heightened anticipation for the next episode. Lim Young-woong stated that he wanted to experience the feelings of a friend, as he is not a singer with hit songs.

'Mountain Village Bachelor Hero' is the follow-up season to last year's 'Island Bachelor Hero,' and in addition to Lim Young-woong, various cast members such as Cha Seung-won, Kim Do-hoon, Kwak Bum, Nucksal, and Roy Kim are scheduled to appear. The show airs every Tuesday at 9 PM on SBS.
