K-pop Star Zhou Jieqiong Confirms I.O.I. Reunion

The unwavering friendship of the group I.O.I, reunited for their 10th anniversary, has been proven. Although Kang Mina and Zhou Zeqing could not participate in the full group stage activities, they demonstrated their strong loyalty to the members, quashing rumors of discord. I.O.I released their mini-album 'I.O.I : LOOP' in May, promoting their title track 'Suddenly,' and are currently continuing their solo concert tour '2026 I.O.I Concert Tour: LOOP.' Due to personal schedules, Kang Mina and Zhou Zeqing's absence from these activities led some to speculate maliciously and raise rumors of discord.

However, the rumors of discord were untrue. Kang Mina shared her bitter feelings on a fan communication platform, stating, "The members and I text each other almost every day, saying we miss each other and congratulating each other. Why are people living so tiredly with these discord rumors?" She further dismissed the rumors by asserting her stance: "Instead of that, they should congratulate the members more on their #1 rankings. Just as we all try to make the best choices in our respective positions, I also made the best choice and have no regrets about it." Kang Mina showed her loyalty by personally attending the I.O.I Seoul concert and cheering on the members from the audience.

Zhou Zeqing reunited with the members in Hong Kong. On the 22nd, Zhou Zeqing posted several photos and videos on her account with heart emoticons, showing her visit to the I.O.I concert held in Hong Kong on the 21st. She enthusiastically sang along and danced in the audience, fully enjoying the performance. Immediately after the concert, she visited backstage and took 인증샷 (proof shots) with the members, showing their close friendship.

The I.O.I members responded to Zhou Zeqing's surprise visit with affectionate comments. Jeon Somi expressed her love by saying, "We love you so much," while Choi Yoojung commented, "I love you so, so much, my unnie," Kim Doyeon wrote, "My Zeqing," and Im Nayoung said, "Thank you, Zeqing," displaying their deep affection and creating a heartwarming atmosphere.

I.O.I is a project girl group formed in 2016 through Mnet's audition program 'Produce 101.' The group consists of 11 members: Jeon Somi, Kim Sejeong, Choi Yoojung, Kim Chung-ha, Kim Sohye, Jung Chaeyeon, Kim Doyeon, Im Nayoung, Yoo Yeonjung, Zhou Zeqing, and Kang Mina. Kang Mina, who could not participate in this 10th-anniversary reunion, is focusing on acting as an actress, while Zhou Zeqing is actively promoting in China.
