Ravi Admits Military Service Fraud, Announces Comeback

Ravi, formerly of the group VIXX, has announced his return to the music scene with the release of his new song "Nyeok" following controversy over allegations of violating military service laws. This marks his first new song in approximately four years, since "Outdated Dance" was released in October 2022. Ravi was found guilty of attempting to evade military service by signing a contract worth 50 million won with a military service broker and submitting a falsified epilepsy diagnosis, for which he received a one-year prison sentence suspended for two years. As a result, he stepped down from the KBS 2TV entertainment program "2 Days & 1 Night" and left his group VIXX.

While serving as a public service worker, Ravi underwent trial for violating military service laws. Following the Military Manpower Administration's decision, he completed his remaining service period and was discharged in December of last year. After his discharge, Ravi posted an apology on his social media, stating, "I apologize once again to those who were hurt by my wrongdoings, and I will continuously learn and strive to become a better person," he wrote. He then began posting photos of himself working and attending events, appearing to prepare for his comeback.
