The title song 'Lemon Tang' is a title created by combining 'Lemon,' which is sour, and 'Tang,' meaning a sharp taste and scent. It embodies the meaning that one "can be sour and sharp when alone, but sweet and tangy when together." This is explained as a point of differentiation, with member Jiwoo mentioning that while aespa's 'Lemonade' is "cool and exhilaratingly sour," HATS TO HEARTS' 'Lemon Tang' has "a fresh and sweet charm and shines brighter when together."

Kenzie wrote the lyrics for 'Lemon Tang,' marking their fourth collaboration with HATS TO HEARTS. Member Jiwoo expressed satisfaction with the lyrics, stating that Kenzie "expressed us as shining brighter when together, just as a lemon, though sour, becomes more flavorful when cooked with other ingredients."

In terms of performance, 'Lemon Tang' includes 4:4 symmetry and straight formations, similar to their previous songs. Notably, a choreography move using the wrists to mimic squeezing a lemon is highlighted as a key point. Additionally, hand gestures reminiscent of lemons in the chorus and parts emphasizing the members' visuals in the opening were pointed out as killing parts.
