Actor Lee Hong-nae, born in 1990, is 36 years old this year. He boasts a tall stature of over 180cm and striking features. In an interview with Ilgan Sports on the 17th, the day after "The Mess Hall Soldier" concluded, Lee Hong-nae revealed the behind-the-scenes story of joining the drama. He met with the director after receiving the script for an audition, and he expressed his joy upon hearing the news of his acceptance after showcasing various acting styles.

In the drama, Yoon Dong-hyun, played by Lee Hong-nae, was a character with "negative hands" whose cooking would go awry with just a touch, but he was also a loyal man who would step in to help his juniors when they were in trouble.

Lee Hong-nae expressed his gratitude for the director's significant role in shaping the character of Yoon Dong-hyun. He recalled the warm atmosphere on set at the time, mentioning that when he sought acting advice from actor Yoon Kyung-ho, he gained confidence after hearing "You're doing really well" as praise upon seeing his comedic performance on set.
