Jung Moon Sung Runs Local Bookstore With Brother

Actor Jung Moon-sung is returning to the small screen after two years. He will showcase a new acting transformation in the ENA new Monday-Tuesday drama "​Scarecrow", which airs its first episode today (the 20th), playing the role of Gi-hwan, the owner of a neighborhood bookstore.

ENA's new Monday-Tuesday drama "Scarecrow" is a crime investigation thriller about a detective investigating the real culprit of a serial murder case, who unexpectedly forms a partnership with a person he despises. The drama features reliable actors such as Park Hae-soo, Lee Hee-joon, and Kwak Sun-young, enhancing its quality.

Lee Gi-hwan, played by Jung Moon-sung, is a childhood friend of Kang Tae-joo (played by Park Hae-soo) and Seo Ji-won (played by Kwak Sun-young) and a native of the Gangseong region. He runs a neighborhood bookstore with his younger brother, Lee Gi-beom (played by Song Geon-hee), and is expected to deliver a realistic performance with his quiet, diligent, and upright demeanor.

Notably, Gi-hwan is expected to play a role in intensely intertwining with Tae-joo and Ji-won, who he considered friends and family, due to a series of events, adding tension to the drama. Jung Moon-sung expanded his acting spectrum by taking on his first solo play since his debut in the 2025 musical "Behind the Moon." As he returns to the small screen for the first time in two years since tvN's "Thank You" in 2024, curiosity about his new performance is growing.
