Lee Sol-yi Addresses Divorce Rumors with Park Sung-kwang

Comedian Park Sung-kwang's wife, Lee Sol-yi, was embroiled in divorce rumors due to a cryptic post on her social media, but she immediately denied and clarified the allegations. Lee Sol-yi deleted the post after it gained attention.

On June 30, Lee Sol-yi posted a video on her personal account that began with the phrase, "I am thirty-nine years old. I have a past I want to erase." The video contained the message, "It was a time spent trying to persuade each other all night with someone whose values were different. It was days of choosing words to express my feelings and trying to force them into the other person's heart. It was a terrible arrogance. Because I wanted others to fully understand the deep fluctuations of my emotions."

Lee Sol-yi added, "A 'compatible relationship' where communication is smooth and understandable without needing to persuade with words is truly precious," and expressed the difficulty of human relationships by saying, "It is perhaps fundamentally impossible and only exceptionally possible as a miracle for two people who have lived in their own universes for decades to meet and align without any forced effort." She concluded her post by saying, "​We make the mistake of embracing even the unexplainable gaps. They call that love," and added, "I am waiting for that exceptional miracle."

Due to the content of these posts, some netizens expressed concern about Lee Sol-yi and Park Sung-kwang's relationship and raised divorce rumors. When one netizen asked, "Did you really divorce Park Sung-kwang?", Lee Sol-yi replied, "​No ㅠ." When another netizen asked, "Your gaze has seemed uneasy for some time. Did you perhaps break up?", Lee Sol-yi dismissed the divorce rumors, stating, "​No. I am anxious about my upcoming regular check-up for my chronic illness, but my gaze is simply a matter of being aware of my surroundings."

Lee Sol-yi previously revealed her battle with cancer in April of last year. At the time, she stated that she was diagnosed with cancer while preparing for a child after leaving her job, and expressed guilt about not being able to have children due to the nature of female cancer and regret for not taking care of her health. She also mentioned that she underwent surgery and chemotherapy for six months and is currently taking medication and undergoing treatment.
