Jo Jin Woong 'Signal 2' November Release Rumored

Reports have emerged suggesting a potential year-end broadcast for tvN drama 'Signal Season 2,' which had its airing indefinitely postponed due to past controversy surrounding lead actor Cho Jin-woong's juvenile offender status.

On the 30th, MyDaily reported that 'Second Signal' was scheduled to air as a Monday-Tuesday drama starting November 30th, with a total of 8 episodes planned until December 22nd. The report also stated that the production team had considered various options, including AI work and editing for Cho Jin-woong's scenes, but ultimately decided to broadcast them as they are, without any separate modifications.

Initially, 'Second Signal' was slated for broadcast this month to coincide with tvN's 20th anniversary. However, its scheduling was indefinitely postponed after it was belatedly revealed that lead actor Cho Jin-woong had been sent to a juvenile detention center for a serious crime during his high school years. Following this, Cho Jin-woong announced his retirement from the entertainment industry.

Meanwhile, 'Second Signal' is the follow-up season to 'Signal,' which aired in 2016. The production had garnered significant attention from its early stages, with original cast members Kim Hye-soo and Lee Je-hoon reuniting for the project after approximately 10 years.
