Jang Seohee Returns to KBS in "Trap of Desire"

Actress Jang Seo-hee returns to KBS dramas after 12 years, appearing in the new daily drama '​The Trap of Desire'. The drama is scheduled to premiere in August and is planned for a total of 100 episodes.

'The Trap of Desire' is a revenge drama about a woman whose life is stolen due to a false murder accusation, as she fights against immense desire. Jang Seo-hee will play Joo Mi-ran, the head of public relations for the Cheongma Scholarship Foundation, who will stop at nothing for her desires, portraying the ultimate villain. Joo Mi-ran, a former nanny, appears outwardly gentle and devoted, but harbors hidden desires and secrets beneath the surface.

Jang Seo-hee earned the title 'Queen of Daily Dramas' by winning the acting awards at MBC's 'The Mermaid Princess' and SBS's 'Temptation of Wife' in the past. This return to KBS for 'The Trap of Desire' marks her return to KBS after 12 years, following the KBS2 drama 'The Bird That Endures the Winter' in 2014, and is her first daily drama in three years since MBC's 'The Witch's Game', which ended in 2023.

The drama 'The Trap of Desire' is a collaboration between Director Lee Dae-kyung, who directed 'Our Blooming Youth' and 'Drama Special 2023 - Confession of a Shadow', and Writer Goo Ji-won, who wrote 'Cheer Up, My Life' and 'Love in the Summer'. Studio Boom and Monster Union are participating in the production.

The production team stated about Jang Seo-hee, "She is an actress who adds credibility to the work", and "​We expect her to vividly portray Joo Mi-ran's desires, ambitions, and the complex emotions behind them."
