ENA's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Doctor Smboy' has made a smooth debut, recording 4.0% in its first broadcast viewership ratings. This figure marks the highest premiere viewership rating for an ENA Monday-Tuesday drama in history. The previous drama in the same time slot, 'Straw Man,' recorded 8.1% for its final episode, with its average viewership during its run at 2.9%.

'Doctor Smboy' is based on the popular webtoon 'Johnber Doctor' and is a human medical romance drama depicting the story of Do Ji (played by Lee Jae-wook), a public health doctor who arrives on the infamous island of Pyeondongdo, which everyone avoids, and the mysterious nurse Yuk Ha-ri (played by Shin Ye-eun).

Lee Jae-wook, who plays the protagonist Do Ji, is serving his alternative military service by working in a medically underserved area for three years. He demonstrated his skills as a university hospital plastic surgeon by calmly and expertly providing emergency treatment at the scene of an accident in the training center. However, he experienced an unexpected incident due to a sea trauma on a boat, foreshadowing the start of a difficult island life. From his first day at the Pyeondong Public Health Center, he elicited laughter with his inability to adapt to the unfamiliar environment, such as being carried by Yuk Ha-ri or being startled by insects.

Do Ji and Yuk Ha-ri are destined to be constantly entangled, as advised, "On the island, be wary of the 'three S's': incidents, accidents, and love." Attention is focused on how the relationship between these two, who had a somewhat chaotic first impression, will evolve.

ENA has achieved significant success in both drama and entertainment programming, entering the top 5 weekly viewership ratings for the 2049 male and female demographic across all channels for the first time since its inception in the fourth week of May. The recently concluded Monday-Tuesday drama 'Straw Man' recorded 8.12% in nationwide paid household viewership, ranking second in ENA drama history. The final selection broadcast of the dating reality show 'I Am Solo' Season 31 broke its own record for the program, achieving 2.18% in the Seoul metropolitan area's 2049 viewership ratings.
