'Single's Inferno' Star Young-sook Reveals Pain From Malicious Comments

Youngsik, a contestant from season 30 of the dating reality show "I Am Solo," has spoken out about the emotional distress caused by appearance-shaming comments following the broadcast. Appearing as an audience member on the KBS 2TV show "Malja Show" on the 22nd, Youngsik revealed, "I recently did a live broadcast, and there were many comments like 'You've gained so much weight' and 'Why do you look so bloated?'" He added that he is considering getting weight-loss injections.

Comedian Kim Young-hee comforted Youngsik, saying, "What appears on screen can look much larger than in real life." Instead of injections, she recommended exercise, advising, "Don't lose weight because of others' opinions, but manage yourself when you feel you need to." When Youngsik replied that he exercises daily, Kim Young-hee humorously suggested, "Perhaps it's because you lack muscle," eliciting laughter.

Yungsik, a real estate lawyer, became a final couple with Youngja during season 30 of "I Am Solo," but they broke up after the show. In a live broadcast on the YouTube channel "Chonjang Entertainment TV," Yungsik confirmed their breakup, stating, "We dated for about a month after becoming a final couple, but there were parts where we didn't match." He also shared news of a new relationship, saying he is currently in a serious relationship with someone who understands his shortcomings.

Meanwhile, Youngja, also a contestant from "I Am Solo" season 30, has also expressed suffering from malicious comments. In a video released on the YouTube channel "Chonjang Entertainment TV" on the 27th, Youngja confessed, "After the broadcast, I became afraid of people. Beyond the malicious comments I saw on anonymous online communities, I saw insults on my Instagram photos and even my baby's photos. I felt like even ordinary people walking on the street could be writing malicious comments, and I became scared to encounter people."

Youngja explained her consistent choice of Youngsik by saying, "He was the one who caught my eye from the first impression. I felt I needed to see him again, and after making my second choice, I felt like there were no other options left."
