Dr. Someboy Premiere: Laughter & Tears

ENA's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Dr. Stay' is coming to viewers' homes with laughter, emotion, and excitement. This drama is a medical human romance depicting the story of Do Ji-han (played by Lee Jae-wook), a public health doctor who arrives on the island of 'Pyeondongdo,' which everyone avoids, and Yuk Ha-ri (played by Shin Ye-eun), a nurse with many secrets. The story of the two who meet on a remote island, get involved with the island villagers, save lives, and learn about love is expected to deliver warm laughter and excitement.

Based on the webtoon , which is currently popular on KakaoPage and Kakao Webtoon, 'Dr. Stay' is drawing anticipation as director Lee Myung-woo, loved for works like 'Gyeongseong Creature' and 'The Fiery Priest', teams up with writer Kim Ji-soo.

The still cuts released ahead of the first broadcast show the meeting of Do Ji-han and Yuk Ha-ri on Pyeondongdo. Another incident befalls Do Ji-han, who had a difficult first day due to his '​island trauma', and he is captured looking terrified as he climbs a tree. On the other hand, Yuk Ha-ri is seen exchanging warm greetings in her hometown, sparking curiosity. It piques interest as to what kind of commotion will entangle the two again.

Furthermore, another ordeal for Do Ji-han is foreshadowed on his first day at the Pyeondong Public Health Center. Do Ji-han, who is terrified by a 'surprise guest' waiting for him and whose legs give out, along with the reactions of Eom Jeong-seon (played by Lee Soo-kyung) and Hwang Shin-hye (played by Joo In-young), who are flustered by his sudden commotion, are expected to bring laughter. Attention is focused on what kind of guest and incident will make it even harder for Do Ji-han, who avoids the island.

The production team of 'Dr. Stay' stated, "In the first episode, new incidents continuously erupt in front of Do Ji-han, who is struggling with island trauma. Through this process, the back-and-forth with Yuk Ha-ri will bring excitement and laughter," and added, "Please look forward to the stories they will create with the unique residents of Pyeondongdo."
