Red Velvet Full Group Comeback in August

The five-member girl group Red Velvet is set to make a full-group comeback in August. This marks their first full-group activity in approximately two years and two months since the release of their mini-album 'Cosmic' in June 2024. The comeback holds special significance as it's their first as a complete group since Wendy and Yeri found new agencies.

Since their debut in 2014, Red Velvet has established their unique musical world by mastering diverse concepts and genres with songs like 'Happiness', 'Ice Cream Cake', 'Dumb Dumb', 'Red Flavor', 'Peek-A-Boo', 'Bad Boy', 'Psycho', 'Feel My Rhythm', and 'Cosmic'. Their summer releases, 'Red Flavor' and 'Power Up', were particularly well-loved.

Recently, the K-pop market has seen the emergence of refreshing concept songs, such as aespa's 'LEMONADE' and HATSUNE MIKU's 'Lemon Tang', signaling the start of the summer season. Amidst this trend, anticipation is high for what new summer music Red Velvet will present as the original 'Summer Queens'.

Over the past few years, Red Velvet members have been actively engaged in their individual pursuits. Seulgi has been active in unit activities, Irene has released a solo album and embarked on an Asian tour, Wendy has participated in musicals and solo concerts, and Joy and Yeri have also expanded their capabilities as artists in their respective fields. Although some members have moved to different agencies, they have maintained a strong bond, supporting each other, which was evident when all members attended Wendy's solo concert in March.

In conjunction with their full-group comeback, Red Velvet will also hold '2026 Red Velvet FAN-CON <A Day in Red & Velvet>'. This fan concert will take place on August 1st at 6 PM and August 2nd at 4 PM at the Hwajeong Gymnasium, Korea University. Notably, August 1st is Red Velvet's debut anniversary, making it a meaningful occasion to celebrate their 12th anniversary with fans. The fan concert will feature performances that encapsulate Red Velvet's musical spectrum and various segments.
